In this chapter, Robbins discusses her long held fear of flying and how she used the five second rule and "anchor thoughts" to overcome it. An anchor thought is a thought you use to curb your anxiety. For instance, Robbins comes up with her anchor thought before she begins her trip. If she gets nervous on the plane, she uses the five second rule to redirect her thoughts to her anchor thought. She uses 5-4-3-2-1 to push past fear and then focuses on her anchor thought.
